Short Description The Canopy Residency (previously called ‘Plum Lime Residency’) provides artists with a large private studio in the Chelsea Gallery District of New York City for 4 weeks to create a new body of work, host studio visits, immerse themselves in their practice, and take advantage of being in the heart of Chelsea! Short Description This summer Parent Company is excited to shift its programming from an exhibition space to a studio residency for artists whose work is based in installation and/or performance with an emphasis on site-responsive practices. The gallery space will change its focus from display to production, giving one resident the chance to work in the space for eight weeks. The residency will culminate in a final installation and an open studio-style event.
