Portland Art Museum Residency program

The Fall Artist in Residency application is open! Applications will close on Aug 2nd at 5pm.

The PAM CUT Artist in Residency program offers emerging and mid-career artists the opportunity to spend three and a half months working on a new or continued project.

This includes artists working in:

  • Film
  • Television
  • Audio
  • Immersive realities
  • Performance
  • Animation

Each resident will:

  • Have access to the PAM CUT facilities and equipment, daily 8 a.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Receive a stipend of $3000 ($1500 at the start of the residency, with the final $1500 awarded at the end of the residency).
  • Present work at either the PAM CUT facilities or PAM CUT’s Tomorrow Theater (depends on the scope and type of work).
  • Teach a workshop with PAM CUT’s Co:Laboratory program at the standard teaching artist pay rate.
  • Be promoted via PAM CUT and the Portland Art Museum’s newsletters and social media channels.

Note: Artists may apply from outside of Portland, but we cannot provide housing.

Please contact Head of Artist Services Ben Popp at ben@pamcut.org to learn more about resources available or any other questions about the residency program.
