The Residency Programme applies to the different types of Artist Residencies:
- Residency programme with studio and accommodation, includes the full Residence programme and attendance at RAMA’s general programme activities.
- Residency programme with studio, without accommodation, includes the full Residence programme and attendance at RAMA’s general programme activities.
- Residency programme without studio, without accommodation, can be attended in person or online, and includes the full Residency programme and participation in the activities of the general RAMA programme.
The Residency program provides a specialized and immersive work environment, accompanies and advertizes the work developed by the artists and researchers during their stay in the residency, involving them with the local culture and community, and the contemporary artistic context.
The Artist Residencies lasts from 1 to 4 months or for longer periods depending on the nature of the applicants’ projects.
The programme includes:
- Personalized mentoring and consultancy for each project by RAMA director, artist Paulo Brighenti, with guest curator Ana Anacleto.
- Mentorships and studio visits, discussion and support to the work done in the studios, by artists, researchers and curators invited to each Residency.
- Participation in meetings and lectures and other initiatives organised by RAMA.
- Visits to local points of interest, in order to discover the region’s material and intangible heritage.
- Publication of Artists in Residence’s projects on RAMA’s website, with interviews, documentation about the work and other activities organized by the artists themselves.
RAMA supports applicants who, being accepted at the Residency, may apply for funding or scholarships.
Program fees:
- Residency programme with studio and accommodation, project monitoring and attendance at RAMA activities: 750euros per month.
- Residency programme with studio, without accommodation, project monitoring and attendance at RAMA activities: 350euros per month.
- Residency programme, without studio or accommodation, in person or online, project monitoring and attendance at RAMA activities: 280euros per month.
Program fees for the May and June 2024 Open Call:
One fortnight: Residency Program with Studio and accommodation, project monitoring and attendance at RAMA activities: 400euros.
One Month: Residency Program with Studio and accommodation, project monitoring and attendance at RAMA activities: 750euros.
