RAW MATTERS -TENDER STEPS RESIDENCY

We are offering 3 Tender Steps residencies to artists/ groups working in the fields of dance, performance and similar practices who are at the beginning of a new artistic reserach.

The residency includes
• 4 weeks rehearsal space in the studios of Raw Matters (Hainburger Straße 68-70/45/6, 1030 Wien)
• 3 peer-to-peer artistic support sessions MONDAYS, 20.01. / 27.01. / 03.02. from 10 – 15h
or
MONDAYS, 03. / 10. / 17.02 from 10 – 15h. The participation in these sessions is mandatory!
• Financial contribution: 600€/Artist (= 200€/feedback session).

The amount is based on an equal collaboration between performance artists, choreographers/directors, live- sound/video designers. ALL participants must be present during the feedback sessions.
We cannot consider technicians, costume designers, production support or any other people that are not actively performing in the project (exception: director, choreographer…)
We reserve the right not to pay a higher fee, if the collaboration for the participation at Raw Matters is not clear.

Criteria for application and selection

• preference is given to artists starting on new projects
• Availability and participation at all feedback meetings as well as the Intro Meeting on Monday, 13.01.2025 // 24.02.2025 from 10:00-12:00 and the Wrap Up Meeting Friday, 07.02.2025// 21.03.2025 at 16h (@ Raw Matters Studio)
• Motivation to be in an artistic exchange with the other participating artists
• Artists should have their place of residence in Austria
• WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT ONE APPLICATION PER PERSON/ GROUP!
