We are excited to announce the open call for our first group exhibition in Lisbon, “A Shot Away,” hosted by Shelter Artists Run Space in its studio at Jardins do Bombarda.
Exhibition Dates: November 16 – 20, 2024
Submission Deadline: October 30, 2024 (11:59 pm GMT)
Location: Shelter Artists Run Space, Jardins do Bombarda, Lisbon, Portugal
Exhibition Concept: “A Shot Away”
The exhibition “A Shot Away” comes from the lyrics of the Rolling Stones’ song “Gimme Shelter”. The exhibition invites us to think about the dualities of our time, such as clarity-uncertainty, stable-mobile, durable-fragile, and safe-dangerous. Under the heading “A Shot Away”, we trace our search for safe havens and the risks and uncertainties we face in this search. This exhibition aims to explore the limits of individual and collective existence while expressing a fragile balance where everything is a ‘shot’ away at any moment.
