SOLO AI ’24 AWARD

This edition, Colección SOLO aims to recognize and reward the quality, proposal, and narrative in moving image artworks created with AI, with a special interest in proposals with non-traditional storytelling.

The winning piece will be awarded 10,000 euros, also being exhibited at Espacio SOLO museum in Madrid (Spain) as well as in other collaborating institutions. The prize will be awarded at a special event on 10 May 2024 at Goldsmiths University (London).

HOW TO APPLY?

The Open Call for the SOLO AI ’24 AWARD will be open until 24 February 2024 23:59 (CEST). Individuals and collectives are eligible to submit a maximum of 2 pieces through the following form.

The call will only accept moving image digital artworks in which the intervention of AI as an artistic tool is relevant to the creative process of the artist, whether producing text, image, or audio, and included in the resultant output.

SOLO AI ‘24 AWARD is open to all kinds of artists, without any age limits or qualification requirements. The number of entries per artist is limited to two. It must be submitted through the following form, including the details below:

SOCIAL MEDIA (OPTIONAL)
SHORT BIO (250 WORDS)
ARTIST STATEMENT (500 WORDS)
ARTWORK LINKS (Drive, iCloud, NFT MARKETPLACE, SOCIAL PLATFORMS…)
PASSWORD TO ACCESS THE ARTWORK (IF NEEDED)
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF THE ARTWORK
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (OPTIONAL)
The open call will only accept links allowing access to the artwork, not the file itself, whether public
or private. If the artwork remains private and a password is required it must be attached to the
form. Minted digital artworks may be submitted.

Prizes and Benefits

1 Artist Prize

10.000 euros (gross) to the winning artwork. Local and state taxes are the responsibility of the prize recipient.
Participation in the collective exhibition as part of the Award Ceremony + AI and ART Symposium that will take place at Goldsmiths University London in May 2024.
Travel and accommodation expenses to attend the award ceremony in London.

10 Spotlight Artists

Colección SOLO may acquire artwork from among those selected.
All 10 selected artists will be eligible to take part in different proposals and activities organized by Colección SOLO and its partners with prior notification and consent.
