The time has come: Nordseebad Spiekeroog GmbH is offering the Spiekerooger Zeltplatzresidenz scholarship for the 10th time. Just three kilometers from the village center, in the middle of a unique natural landscape, lies one of the most beautiful natural campsites in Europe. Artists regularly use the campsite on Spiekeroog as a retreat and as a source of inspiration and creativity.
The Spiekerooger campsite residence takes place here every year. Next year’s scholarship will have the theme “ breaking up ” and will be aimed at artists of all ages for the tenth time. The winner of the competition will receive an art scholarship and thus the opportunity to implement a temporary art project on the car-free North Sea island.
The artist resides at the Spiekeroog campsite for four weeks, in a tent provided there, and realizes an art project according to his or her own ideas, which can then, depending on the type of exhibition, be viewed on Spiekeroog until the next season. Installation, land, art, performance, photo and video artists can register for the 2024 competition until December 5th.
