StartArt is an art residency and retreat space that focuses on connecting BOLD artists to their creative pursuits in a green sanctuary. We believe a good artist who values their work should be able to make a living from their art.
Our international teachers Paola from Mexico, Alexandre from Brazil and Jana from Serbia will guide, support and assist the artist at any given moment.

The key to achieve value is to improve how you document your creative process from the beginning to end. Our professional photo and videographer team will create content to promote your art, bringing on average 10X more views on your social media. More views means more connections and potential sales.
Duration of residency
The program takes 7 days and 6 nights (check in on Monday and check out on Sunday) and includes:
1 professional reel of your art
3 vegetarian meals a day
3 hours of yoga in the morning
kayak in the river activities
private pool
exhibitions in the house

We encourage all disciplines to apply to StartArt as we want artists to mingle and work together, giving new ideas and perspectives to all. Some art forms that we specialize in are:

Accommodation
Artists at StartArt have a number of options in regards to accommodation. Depending on availability, we have private bedrooms for individuals and couples in addition to rooms that can be shared with other participants.
Studio/work space
The house has many studios and shared working spaces, indoor and outdoor, as well as gardens and a private pool.
Artists can use the working space where they feel most comfortable during the day.
The private rooms have space for working privately but we ask that you let us know if you are working with large-scale projects so we can accommodate this properly. Both floors of the building have shared studio spaces for artists to work and develop their projects. The studios are full of windows that receive lots of natural light, with views of the river and the green trees.
3 of the studios have balcony access and there is an outdoor area for artists that like working outside as well as a small covered patio. There are general shared indoor areas where artists read, work and get together, in addition to an outdoor gallery and deck space surrounding the house. Gardens are also used as workspaces, depending on the artist’s preferences.
Fees and support
RESIDENCE PROGRAM FEE with vegetarian meals included
Shared room with shared bathroom: 300 euros (1 week)
Private room with private bathroom: 420 euros (1 week)
Expectations towards the artist
For those doing the self-directed program, there is no expectation for you to deliver finished work and instead allow you to focus solely on research and developing ideas. An advisor will be available, ready to help guide you and give feedback for your ideas and work.
