The Premier Global Award

The Fundació Privada de les Arts i els Artistes announces the 12th Competition of Figurativas 23, with several prizes, including a First Prize for Painting of 20,000€ and a First Prize for Sculpture of 10,000€.
The Foundation wants to promote and disseminate Figurative Art, and its main task is to encourage artistic initiatives and sponsor artists. The main mission of the Foundation is to spread and support figurative artists and The Figurative Contest 23 has become one of the most effective tools to reach authors from all countries of the world and to publicize the work of all of them to an artistic community of more than a hundred nationalities.

TITLE I. PARTICIPANTS
Art. 1.- All artists may participate regardless of nationality.
Art. 2.- In case of being an underage artist, you must send a letter signed by your legal guardians authorizing your participation. This should be sent to concurso@fundaciondelasartes.org
Art. 3.- More than one work per artist may be accepted. Each work must be registered independently.
Art. 4.- Each work may participate only and exclusively in one of the categories, which will be chosen by the artist from among those indicated in the Title II.
Art. 5.- The work must be exclusive property of the artist and must have been made only by the artist.
Art. 6.- All participating works will be eligible for awards, regardless of the category in which they are enrolled (with the exception of the Sculpture modality, which will only be eligible for the Sculpture Prize).
Art. 7.- The participating artist cannot decide which prize to opt for. You can only decide if you want to apply for the Artistic Scholarship through the participation form. Being eligible for this scholarship does not invalidate thepossibility of opting for the rest of the prizes.
Art. 8.- Both theme and technique will be a free choice of the artist, but always in the Figurative Art’s modality.
Art. 9.- Technical skill and topic originality will be valued.
Art. 10.- The fee per participant work in the contest is 40€.

TITLE II. MODALITIES
Art. 11.- Painting:

Different categories are established:
a) Landscape
b) Drawing / Illustration
c) Young Talent: Exclusive category for participants under 25.
d) Still life
e) Figure and Portrait
f) Digital Art
The minimum dimensions required for all painting categories are set at 40 x 40 cm and the maximum at 200 x 200 cm.
All types of painting techniques are accepted (graffiti, engraving, graphite, pastel, charcoal, colour pencils, pen, watercolour, tempera, oil, acrylic, mixed media, digital painting, etc.).
Under no circumstances photography will be accepted.
The work must be presented without framing or with a simple strip of wood.
Works protected with glass will not be accepted (if strictly necessary, in methacrylate).

Art. 12.- Sculpture:

The mandatory minimum dimensions are set to 40 x 40 x 40 cm and the maximum to 100 x 100 x 200 cm.
The work’s weight cannot exceed 80 kg.
