Villa Filanda Antonini -VFA- is a residency program, established in 2021 in Treviso, dedicated to experimenting with the languages of contemporary art.  Villa Filanda Antonini is fostered by Arper Feltrin Foundation.

The VFA residency program has been selected under specific conditions by Culture Moves Europe, a project funded by the European Union and implemented by the Goethe-Institut. We also recommend visiting the Culture Moves Europa website.

Culture Moves Europe provides mobility grants for artists legally residing in one of the 40 Creative Europe countries, and willing to develop a project in another Creative Europe country. Culture Moves Europe is fully funded by the European Union and is implemented by the Goethe-Institut.

2025 OPEN CALL THEME

Villa Filanda Antonini launches the Spring Open Call to select 1-2 professionals or artists for a two-month residency in February-March 2025. The Open Call aims to collect proposals and art projects relevant to the theme “Nourish,” focusing on art practices to feed, to care for the environment and people. The term “Nourish” derives from the Latin verb “nūtrīre,” meaning “to feed” or “to care for.” The goal of the residency is to foster togetherness through a participative workshop  and an interactive art installation/project  that actively engage the local community. The mission is to create “food for thought” through artistic practices that share knowledge, critical awareness, and inspire tangible actions to care for the people and the environment.
