Berlin Circus Festival. The festival offers a platform for encounters between contemporary circus and visual arts in an extraordinary setting between the circus tent and the grandstand at Tempelhofer Feld.

Open Call for Artists at the 12th Berlin Circus Festival.
We invite artists to present their artworks or create site-specific works at the international Berlin Circus Festival at Tempelhofer Feld. In an open-air exhibition, you will have the opportunity and support to present your artistic work to over 14,000 visitors. Do you have an artistic work or a concept for a site-specific work that you would like to realize at the festival? Then send us your complete application via the application form and become part of the Berlin Circus Festival 2026!

Eligibility:
- Who: Artists who would like to be part of the Berlin Circus Festival.
- Mediums: Artworks of all genres that are suitable for weatherproof, temporary outdoor presentation on the festival site or in a container. (Note: No circus acts).
- Theme: Artworks that relate to the terms of ‘city’, ‘circus’, ‘body’ or ‘encounter’ or that have a connection to the circus or the location.
- On-Site Requirement: With your participation, you guarantee that you will set up and dismantle your own artwork on site (in coordination with the curators).
Program Benefits & Awards:
- Financial Support: An exhibition compensation of EUR 350.
- Logistics: If necessary, support with art transportation within Berlin (by arrangement). Catering provided during set-up and dismantling.
- Visibility & Promotion: High visibility with over 14,000 festival visitors. Promotion of the artists and their work on our website, social media, and flyers.
- Documentation: Photographic documentation of the exhibition for further use.
- Perks: One day tickets for the 12th Berlin Circus Festival.
Application Requirements:
Submit 1-4 images of the work or sketches of the concept.
- Image Specifications: Naming must be "Your name + photo credits". Resolution must be 300 dpi (min. 200 dpi, or quality sufficient for an approx. A4 print).
- You can apply with several works or concepts, but please fill out a separate application form for each work/concept (a series can be submitted in one application).
- Incomplete applications or submissions for circus-acts cannot be considered.
- With your application, you agree that the texts and images provided may be used for advertising and communication purposes for the Berlin Circus Festival.

- Set-up: July 31 – August 3, 2026.
