Jalón Ángel Photographic Archive, guarded by the San Jorge University (San Valero Group). The award pays tribute to Ángel Hilario García de Jalón Hueto (1898-1976), better known as Jalón Ángel, one of the most prominent figures of portrait photography in Spain during his 50-year career.

Applications are open for the XII Jalón Ángel International Photography Prize.
This award honors Jalón Ángel's legacy with two annual categories (Portrait and Travel) and a special 12th-edition category dedicated to Migration and borders. The competition seeks original photographs that convey character, human connection, unique environments, and rigorous, respectful perspectives on human movement and displacement.

Eligibility:
- Who: Any author (Spanish or foreign) of legal age.
- Submission Limit: Authors may present a maximum of one (1) photograph per category.
- AI Prohibition: Any photographic medium may be used, but Artificial Intelligence must NOT be used in all or part of the image.
- Retouching: Both chemical and digital retouching must be minimal (brightness, contrast, color balance, white balance, saturation) and must not distort the original shot.
- Anonymity: Photographs must not have any element (signature, logo, initials, frames, etc.) that serves to identify the author.
- Technical Constraints: Entries must be submitted in .jpg format, 300 ppi, and 50 cm on the longest side. The file size must be between 2 MB and 9 MB. (Note: The jury may request raw files during deliberations).
Program Benefits & Awards:
- Award per Category: The winner of each of the three categories (Portrait, Travel, Migration & Borders) will receive a cash prize of €1,500, an emblematic trophy, and a diploma. (Note: Subject to Spanish tax withholdings).

Applicants must complete the official registration form and upload their digital files meeting the strict technical specifications listed above. The registration form is available in Spanish, English, and French.

- Winner Announcement: June 25, 2026.
