2027 Creative Young Artists Open Call
The 2027 Creative Young Artists Open Call invites artists residing in Korea to apply for an exhibition and production support opportunity hosted by the Kim Chong Yung Museum in Seoul, South Korea.
The program is dedicated to supporting contemporary artists working in sculpture, installation, and video-based practices, excluding two-dimensional works. Two artists will be selected to participate in a professionally supported exhibition program scheduled for the second half of 2027.
Selected artists will receive access to the museum’s annex exhibition space for a presentation lasting approximately four to six weeks. In addition to the exhibition opportunity, the museum will provide production support, exhibition documentation, and publication assistance aimed at helping artists further develop and present their work within an institutional context.
The open call prioritizes ambitious and experimental contemporary practices that engage spatial, sculptural, or audiovisual approaches. Artists working with installation environments, moving image, mixed spatial practices, and expanded sculptural methodologies are encouraged to apply.
This opportunity offers emerging and developing artists the chance to collaborate with a recognized Korean museum institution while gaining visibility through a curated exhibition platform and official exhibition materials.

The program does not accept two-dimensional artwork categories, such as painting or drawing-focused submissions.

International applicants may apply only if they are currently residing in Korea.

Applicants should note that the opportunity specifically supports three-dimensional and spatially oriented practices. Two-dimensional submissions are not eligible for consideration.
