Air, Sea and Soil: MICRO–MACRO is a group residency exploring relationships between place, materiality, ecology, and creative practice within the Orkney Islands. Set amidst vast skies, archaeological landscapes, and Atlantic coastlines, the programme invites experimental approaches to making, thinking, and being in response to environmental, cultural, and climatic conditions.

Open to creative practitioners and researchers from all disciplines with an interest in site-responsive, place-based, and experimental practices.

Application Fee:

£1,350 GBP per resident
Includes residency programme, accommodation, workspaces, and collection/return to nearest airport or ferry point
• 50% non-refundable deposit due within 3 weeks of offer
• Remaining balance due 8 weeks before start date
• Travel, insurance, visas, and production costs not included
• No external funding or fee assistance available
• Formal letters of invitation available to support funding applications
