Art Bridges Curatorial Project Coordinator – Full-Time, Portland, OR
The Art Bridges Curatorial Project Coordinator role oversees the planning, execution, and
management of traveling cohort exhibitions and related programming within Oregon. This role ensures the smooth collaboration between PAM, Art Bridges, and partner museums, supporting curatorial, educational, and marketing initiatives. The coordinator manages timelines, logistics, and reporting while facilitating interdisciplinary communication between curators, artists, museum staff, and external stakeholders. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in Curatorial practices, exhibition management, and multi-institutional arts collaboration.

- Position: Curatorial Project Coordinator
- Contract Type: Full-time, Non-exempt
- Reports To: Director of Programs
- Salary: $24.78 – $32.51 per hour (based on experience)
- Employment Period: Grant-funded through August 2027, with potential extension through March 2031

Position & Tasks
Project Coordination:
- Serve as primary liaison between Art Bridges, PAM, and three partner museums in Oregon.
- Oversee exhibition timelines, loan logistics, and object movement in coordination with registration, curatorial, and collections teams.
- Attend object installations, deinstallations, and related exhibition activities.
Meetings & Reporting:
- Schedule and facilitate partner and internal meetings; prepare agendas and follow-up documentation.
- Plan and execute logistics for in-person convenings.
- Track reporting requirements, grant applications, and submissions to Art Bridges.
- Participate in annual Art Bridges Cohort Program convenings.
Budget & Procurement:
- Monitor project budgets, maintain financial records, and coordinate procurement of vendors.
- Collaborate with finance and development teams for invoicing and payment processes.
Marketing & Outreach:
- Partner with marketing staff to produce press kits, promotional materials, and digital content.
- Manage photography scheduling, image permissions, and social media or publication content.
Curatorial & Education Support:
- Conduct research on artists and objects; assist with exhibition development and interpretive content.
- Collaborate with partner museums on programming, training, and public presentations.
- Provide occasional support for additional museum-driven exhibitions and events.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in field-related conferences or convenings.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support institutional goals.

Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in museum studies, art history, arts administration, or related field
- 2–3 years experience in exhibition management, project coordination, or museum administration

- Experience managing budgets and grants for funded programs
- Strong organizational, research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with multiple departments and partner institutions
