Organizer Information

The internship is offered by De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), the central bank of the Netherlands, responsible for financial stability, monetary policy implementation, and promoting sustainable prosperity within the Dutch economy. Beyond its financial mandate, DNB also maintains a significant commitment to cultural engagement through its corporate art collection. This collection is curated as part of the institution’s broader strategy to foster an inspiring, reflective, and socially connected working environment.

Within DNB, the art program is integrated into “De Nieuwe Schatkamer” (The New Treasury), a recently renovated headquarters space that opened in early 2025. This space functions both as a workplace and a semi-public cultural platform where contemporary art is exhibited and made accessible to visitors. DNB’s collection is described as experimental, innovative, and idiosyncratic, reflecting its ambition to connect institutional identity with contemporary artistic discourse. The organization collaborates with museums, cultural institutions, and academic bodies such as the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten and participates in networks like VBCN and IACCCA.
