Title & Description:

Applications are open for the ArtEN Annual Exhibition 2026.

This group exhibition maps the diverse practices of artists actively shaping the UK art scene. Selected artists will present their work to international curators, collectors, and the general public at a venue in Angel, London, during London Gallery Weekend. There are no thematic restrictions, and artworks should demonstrate high conceptual and/or technical quality.

Category:

Multidisciplinary (Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Installation, Textiles, Mixed Media, Photography).

(Note: Priority is given to works with a tangible physical presence. Video/Digital works must include a clear technical proposal for display).

Eligibility:

  • General Practice: Must demonstrate active professional engagement (e.g., previous participation in at least 2 exhibitions anywhere).
  • Location: Applicants MUST be currently based in the United Kingdom. Furthermore, all submitted artworks MUST be physically located in the UK at the time of application and during May/June. Works located internationally cannot be considered.
  • Heritage Tracks: Artists must apply through a specific Partner Track and hold nationality, dual citizenship, or heritage for that specific track:
    • Austrian Cultural Forum: Austrian heritage/nationality.
    • Instituto Cervantes: Spanish-speaking countries heritage/nationality.
    • Korean Heritage Track: Korean heritage/nationality.
    • Liszt Institute: Hungarian heritage/nationality.
    • Camões Institute: Portuguese heritage/nationality.
    • Embassy of Brazil: Brazilian heritage/nationality.

Program Benefits & Awards:

  • Exhibition: Showcase in Angel, London, throughout June 2026.
  • Logistics & Transport: For most tracks, ArtEN will coordinate and cover the logistical costs of artwork ground collection within the UK.
  • Track-Specific Financials: * Instituto Cervantes Track: Selected artists also receive an Honorarium.
    • Korean Heritage Track: Selected artists receive a £250 financial contribution toward production/logistical costs. However, unlike the other tracks, Korean Track artists are strictly responsible for coordinating and paying for their own artwork delivery and collection to/from the London venue.

Application Requirements:

  • File Formatting: Applications MUST be submitted as a single PDF file. Do not send WeTransfer links or separate JPEG files.
  • File Naming: Your PDF must be named Surname_Firstname_[TRACK CODE].pdf using the codes below:
    • Austrian: _ACF.pdf
    • Cervantes: _IC.pdf
    • Korean: _KOREA.pdf
    • Hungarian: _LI.pdf
    • Portuguese: _CI.pdf
    • Brazilian: _EB.pdf
  • Required PDF Contents:
    1. CV (1 cover page highlighting exhibitions/education).
    2. Statement (Max 200 words describing your practice).
    3. Portfolio (Maximum 1–5 works). Must include high-quality images and detail the Title, Year, Medium, Dimensions, Consignment Status (if applicable), Availability, and physical location of the artwork.
