Applications are open for the Ásmundarsalur 2027 Exhibition Year.
The organization is calling for proposals across several categories for the 2027 calendar year, encouraging collaborations across different artistic disciplines. Applicants may apply for:
- Solo or Group Shows: 5-6 week exhibition slots in the 72 sqm main gallery on the 2nd floor.
- Art in Café: Exhibitions in the 1st-floor café.
- Open Studio Residency: 4-8 week terms in the 25 sqm Gunnfríðargryfja, serving as an open workshop for an artist's practice.
- Performance Art: Opportunities allocated in the 2027 schedule for performing artists.

Eligibility:
- Who: Open to artists looking to exhibit, perform, or utilize an open studio in Reykjavik.
- Installation & Maintenance: Installing and de-installing is entirely the responsibility of the artist (in consultation with staff). The artist is strictly obligated to return the exhibition space in the exact same condition as received (white painted walls).
- Commissions: Ásmundarsalur takes a 25% commission on all art sales and a 30% commission on event ticket sales. All commission supports their ongoing cultural non-profit work.

- File Formatting: Applications MUST be submitted as a single PDF document. The file must strictly be no larger than 2MB and contain no more than 10 pages.

- CV: Including the artist's education and previous exhibitions.
- Exhibition Title & Artist Statement: Including a description of the proposal.
- Portfolio: Drafts, visual documentation, or concepts supporting the exhibition/residency realization.
