BFI NETWORK Short Film funding
BFI NETWORK England Short Film Funding supports early career filmmakers to develop and produce original, entirely fictional short films up to 15 minutes long. Projects may be in live action, animation, or immersive/virtual reality formats. The fund is designed to stimulate innovative storytelling and provide filmmakers with resources to bring their ideas to life, fostering experimentation and collaboration among early-career teams.

Eligibility
- Early career filmmakers (producers, writers, directors)
- Projects must feature a reasonable proportion of early-career cast and crew
- Teams require at least two individuals covering director and producer roles (Directors/producers cannot apply alone)
- Producers must be lead applicants
- Directors attached must be based in England

- Funding grants ranging from £5,000 to £25,000
