Bow Arts Project Manager: Exhibitions & Development – Visual Arts Programming & Cultural Project Delivery
Bow Arts is seeking a highly organized and motivated Project Manager to join its Arts & Events team, focusing on exhibitions, partnerships, and revenue development.
This role is central to the planning and delivery of a dynamic exhibitions programme within a leading London-based arts organization. The successful candidate will work across a range of high-profile initiatives, including open calls, art prizes, and annual exhibitions such as the Bow Open and Visions in the Nunnery.
The position combines curatorial coordination, project management, and audience development. It offers an opportunity to work closely with artists, curators, and cultural partners while contributing to exhibition production, public engagement, and strategic growth.
The Role Overview
- Position: Project Manager: Exhibitions & Development
- Contract Type: Full-time (35 hours/week), Permanent
- Salary: £28,913 per year
- Location: On-site (London, UK – Nunnery Gallery / Bow Arts Office)
- Reporting to: Director of Arts & Events
- Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:00 (with occasional evenings/weekends)
- Sector: Visual Arts / Nonprofit / Cultural Sector
The role sits within the Arts & Events department and collaborates closely with curators, gallery staff, and external partners to deliver exhibitions and related programmes.
Position & Tasks
Exhibitions & Programme Delivery
- Coordinate exhibition planning, installation, and administration
- Liaise directly with artists and collaborators
- Support open call processes for exhibitions and art prizes
- Assist in developing future exhibition programmes and research
Audience Development & Evaluation
- Contribute to exhibition marketing and communications (digital and print)
- Collect and analyse audience engagement data
- Evaluate exhibition performance and report insights
Revenue & Development
- Manage gallery space hire operations
- Oversee gallery shop activities, including artist liaison and merchandising
- Support artwork sales and retail strategy
- Identify funding opportunities, including grants and sponsorship
Team & Operations
- Support events, residencies, and commissions across programmes
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
- Assist with volunteer coordination and front-of-house operations
- Ensure health and safety compliance across projects

Eligibility
