Short Description
Bruges Triennial 2027, organized by Brugge Plus vzw, is seeking an experienced curator or curatorial collective specializing in architecture and/or visual arts to lead the artistic program of its fifth edition. The selected curator will conceptualize and organize an open-air exhibition featuring approximately ten large-scale installations that respond to contemporary urban challenges. The role includes overseeing artist selection, exhibition curation, and engagement with public spaces while integrating Bruges’ historical and cultural identity.

Theme:
The exhibition will feature monumental works integrated into Bruges’ urban landscape, addressing present and future challenges of Bruges and other key global cities.
Eligibility
Open to curators (individuals or collectives) active in contemporary
have an active and relevant (inter)national network in architecture and/or visual arts, more specifically in new creation in public spaces.
Minimum five years of experience in large-scale exhibitions, artistic interventions, or public art events
Strong network in the visual arts and architecture fields
Fluency in English (Dutch proficiency is preferred but not mandatory)

Salary: Based on the CLA 329.01 scale (B1b, dependent on experience)

The selection procedure consists of two phases. Initial screening will take place based on CV and motivation letter. An invitation to interview and a pre-arranged exercise will then follow. Interviews will take place on Tuesday 22 April 2025.
