Organizer Information:

Carbondale Clay Center (CCC). The Carbondale Clay National is an annual exhibition of ceramic art. Each year, CCC’s selected juror develops a theme for the exhibition, invites a handful of contemporary ceramic artists, and chooses about 25-30 works from the jury pool.

Title & Description:

Applications are open for the Carbondale Clay National XVIV: HEIRLOOMS.

Juried by Dara Hartman, this year's theme focuses on "Heirlooms." Drawing inspiration from objects, memories, and crafts passed down through generations, the exhibition seeks works that weave together the past and present. The selected pieces will be displayed at the Main St. Gallery & The Framer in Carbondale.

Eligibility:

  • Who: Ceramic artists. (with a focus on US-based artists).
  • Medium: The submitted work MUST be ceramic art.
  • Thematic Focus: Artworks should emulate and respond to the 2026 exhibition theme, "HEIRLOOMS."
