Short Description
The Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), through the magazine Cuadernos Hispanoamericanos, and the Eñe Festival, announce a new edition of the three-month Literary Creation Residency call at the Casa de Velázquez in Madrid.
This call is aimed at a writer residing in a Latin American and Caribbean country who develops his or her literary career in the Spanish language and who has published works in any literary genre in his or her career. Its objective is to promote the development of a literary project, providing the time, space and resources necessary for it, and to encourage and support production in the literary panorama in the region.
Eligibility
- Writers living in Latin America or the Caribbean
- That they write in Spanish
- With at least two books published by commercial publishers (the last one in the last four years)
- Who have not previously been residents of the Casa de Velázquez
- With documentation in order to reside temporarily in Spain
Submission Requirements
- Literary curriculum
- Motivation letter (max. 500 words)
- Up to two letters of recommendation
- Summary of the project to be developed (max. 500 words)
