CHARLOTTE STREET STUDIO RESIDENCY
Short Description
The Charlotte Street Studio Residency Program offers two-year residencies to visual artists, writers, and performing artists in Kansas City, MO. The program provides free studio space, access to advisors, public programs, annual cohort meetings, studio visits, and a multidisciplinary network of peers.
Program Dates: The residency term begins in June 2025 and ends in June 2027.
Theme: The program supports creative production, artistic experimentation, and community building.
Submission Requirements
Artists are required to submit their portfolio for review by an independent jury panel.
Selection Process: Selection is based on a competitive portfolio review by a jury of industry professionals.
Program Benefits

Eligibility
Artists of all disciplines (visual arts, writing, performance) are eligible.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old by the application deadline.
Applicants must not be enrolled in a degree program by the start of the residency.
Artists do not need to be residents of Kansas City to apply, but they must live in the Greater Kansas City Metro area during the residency.
Previous Charlotte Street Studio Residents are not eligible.
