Château d'Orquevaux provides an international artist and writers residency in the French countryside.

Applications are open for the Château d'Orquevaux 2026/2027 Artist Residency Program.

The residency offers an extraordinary environment for creatives, providing a private bedroom, a private artist studio, and all chef-prepared meals during the stay. All accepted artists are automatically awarded the Denis Diderot Grant, which goes towards the partial cost of the residency experience.

  • Scope: Open to all applicants, with an additional Emerging Artist Grant available for a select number of creators.

  • Grants: All accepted artists receive the standard Denis Diderot Grant. An additional Emerging Artist Grant is awarded to select artists each year to further subsidize the experience.

Program Costs:

  • 2-Week Residency (with Denis Diderot Grant): The cost is €2,450 after the standard grant is applied.
  • 2-Week Residency (with Emerging Artist Grant): For artists selected for this additional grant, the cost is reduced to €1,450.
