Chiasso Perduto is an independent art space and residency located in Florence, Italy. It serves as a laboratory for creative exploration, providing artists with a supportive environment to develop their practice, connect with peers, and engage in critical exchange within a collaborative community.

Applications are open for the Chiasso Perduto Group Residencies.
The program invites up to 4 artists at a time to share a dedicated working space and participate in a collaborative environment. Uniquely, no specific project proposal is required; the residency focuses instead on creative process and peer exchange.
The residency is structured around a series of exercises and shared experiences designed to cultivate connection among participants, support individual practice development, and foster collaboration. Currently, applications are open for the Third Group, scheduled for the summer of 2027.

Eligibility:
- Who: Open to artists worldwide.
- Format: Up to 4 artists are selected per group.
- Requirements: No project proposal is needed. Selection is based purely on the artist's portfolio and past work.
Program Benefits:
- Workspace: A dedicated working area within the shared space of Chiasso Perduto, divided equally among the residents.
- Community: Shared exercises, critical exchange, and the building of a temporary artistic community.

Program Costs:
- Residency Fee: €550 per artist.
- Accommodation: Artists are responsible for their own lodging. Chiasso Perduto can assist in booking at the nearby B&B Calcio Storico di Firenze for the duration of the residency (approx. €857 for a single room, or €1,320 for a double room single use; city tax included, no breakfast). Artists are also completely free to find alternative accommodation.
Application Requirements:
To apply, artists do not need to submit a project proposal. Instead, please send:
- Portfolio: A PDF or a link to your website.
- Bio & Statement: A short biography and an artist statement (included with the portfolio).
