Short Description
Circolo del Design is a cultural centre based in Turin that, through multiple activities, promotes design culture and interdisciplinary dialogue on urgent contemporary issues in which design methods and tools can play an important role.
Earthrise – Design for a Living Planet is an annual cultural event by Circolo del Design aimed at disseminating visions, research and projects from the world of design to affect the sustainability of life on our planet.
THE RESIDENCY WILL BE DIVIDED IN TWO PHASES:
PHASE 1:
14 June → 20 June: First week of city exploration and concept refinement
for the project
PHASE 2:
15 September → 30 October: Mentorship and production of the output
30 October → 02 November: Exhibition opening during Turin Contemporary Art Week.
The output of the project will remain on display until its finissage (5 December 2025)

Social and thematic relevance, aligned with the objectives of Earthrise 2025
Experimental and/or innovative approach
Submission Requirements
- A motivation letter in English (max. 500 word / 2.500 characters without spaces) explaining how your work connects to the themes of this year’s exhibition
- PDF file (max. 2 MB) with Project proposal in English (max. 500 words/ 2.500 characters ), detailing the project you would like to make during your residency, including 3 images. By sending this material, the designer that will be selected for the residency authorises Circolo Del Design to use and
share these materials with third parties, such as the press office, for the online
and offline promotion of the project - Curriculum Vitae in English

DESIGNER’S FEE
- 1.500 € (VAT included)
INCLUDED SERVICES - Travel costs (Round trip flights/ train – phase 1 + phase 2)
- Accommodation for phase 1 and phase 2 of the residency
- Public transportation pass
- The production of the product of the residency for which Circolo del Design shall be responsible for an amount of up to 4.000 € (VAT included)
