Cromer Artspace is a charity dedicated to bringing world-class art to rural coastal communities. Based in Cromer, Norfolk, they operate Artspace on the Prom, a gallery space that redefines cultural access by bridging the gap between metropolitan art centers and rural life.

Title & Description:

Applications are open for Cliff Edge, a textile-focused exhibition exploring the precarious space between tradition and innovation. Drawing inspiration from the literal cliff edges of Cromer—where stability meets erosion—the showcase invites artists to explore themes of Disruption, Risk, and Tension. The exhibition seeks works that challenge the norms of textile practice and embrace fragility, political urgency, or the pull between past and future.

Eligibility:

  • Who: Open to all textile artists.
  • Quantity: Applicants may enter up to three (3) pieces of work.
  • Scope: International (though artists must be able to deliver/collect work or arrange for couriers to the UK).

Program Benefits & Awards:

  • Exhibition: Inclusion in a curated showcase at Artspace on the Prom from October 2 – 12, 2026.
  • Events: Selected artists are invited to the Private View and may be invited to participate in the "Artist in Conversation" event on October 8.
