Organizer Information:
anorak is a curatorial collective and independent art space run by Lukas Ludwig and Johanna Markert, with a focus on artists’ moving image, performance, and sound. The studio is located on the 8th floor of the former Greenhouse building in Berlin-Tempelhof.
Title & Description:
Applications are open for the ANORAK STUDIO RESIDENCY.
This 3-month residency (July 1 – September 30, 2026) supports collaborative proposals that benefit from a shared studio environment and an extended in-person work period.
With a focus on process and research rather than production, the residency hopes to enable informal exchange and dialogue as well as more formalised sharing sessions.
The organizers are particularly interested in experimental approaches across artistic communities, practices, and forms of knowledge that challenge notions of discipline, genre, canon, authorship, coherence, and censorship.
Residents will organize one ‘sharing session’ to discuss work-in-progress and have the opportunity to present work publicly parallel to Berlin Art Week (9–13 September 2026).
