Hub Sleaford & Sleaford Museum — Hub Sleaford is a cultural centre funded by North Kesteven District Council and a National Portfolio Organisation of Arts Council England. It operates in partnership with Better, a charitable social enterprise, providing spaces for arts, education, and community engagement. Sleaford Museum is a local heritage institution that collaborates on exhibitions and artist-led projects, focusing on the interpretation of local history, culture, and underrepresented narratives.

Title & Description

Common Ground: Sleaford’s Shared Stories – Artist Call Out Hub Sleaford and Sleaford Museum invite artists to participate in Common Ground: Sleaford’s Shared Stories, a dual-site exhibition and engagement programme exploring local heritage through contemporary perspectives. Artists will work with museum collections, local communities, and lived experiences to question and reimagine the narratives historically excluded from local heritage and cultural spaces. Two streams are available:
  1. Three Commissions for New Work – create original artworks for the exhibition.
  2. Three Artist Residencies – undertake in-depth research and engagement projects with the museum and community.

Eligibility

Open to UK-based artists, particularly those from historically under-served groups, including barriers due to disability, gender, socio-economic background, sexuality, age, ethnic origin, religion, pregnancy, or experience of migration.
