Short Description
The Echo Theater Company is a group of actors, writers, directors, and producers dedicated to developing and presenting the work of playwrights at all levels.
The Echo supports playwrights and new works for the theater by creating an environment that empowers the playwright to their own progress while bringing fresh and engaging theatrical events to Los Angeles.
Submission Requirements
Submissions must be:
- Original, unpublished and unproduced, non-musical stage plays. No adaptations or translations will be accepted.
- No shorter than 60 and no longer than 150 pages.

Program Benefits & Awards
Winners are determined by our prize committee (TBA) including playwrights, artistic directors, and other working creatives.
First Place: $1000 honorarium and the playwright traveled and housed for rehearsed public reading at The Echo Theater, in Atwater Village.
Second Place: $500 honorarium and a rehearsed online reading
Third Place: $250 honorarium and a note session with prize committee member
Entry Fee
There is a $40 submission fee.
