Ehkä-production & Contemporary Art Space Kutomo. Located in the old Lainto weaving building in the Turku Linnanfält area, Ehkä-production curates and manages Contemporary Art Space Kutomo (consisting of Studio 1 and Studio 2).

Applications are open for Ehkä-production’s 2027 Program.

The organization is seeking proposals for co-produced premieres, guest performances, projects, workshops, discussions, lectures, events, or two-week working residencies.

Eligibility:

  • Geography: Applications are primarily accepted from dance and performing arts professionals residing in Finland.
  • Student Status: Applicants must NOT be in full-time studies.
  • Accessibility: The premises at Contemporary Art Space Kutomo are strictly NOT accessible. Applicants must ensure the space is suitable for their project before submitting.
  • Young Maker Track: This specific track is exclusively for dance artists who have graduated within the past two years.
  • Group Size: The applicant can be an individual artist or a working group.

Program Tracks, Benefits & Awards:

  • Funding Note: Ehkä-production operates on a co-production model. All productions are expected to contribute their own supplementary funding and input to the overall realization of the work.
  • Track 1: Co-produced Premiere: Includes a co-production support salary (approx. 1–3 months), 2–5 week residency, performance venue, administrative/dramaturgical/technical support, accommodation, and PR.
  • Track 2: Co-produced Guest Performance: Includes 1–3 days’ working salary per person, a performance fee per person, approx. 1-week residency, technical/administrative support, accommodation, and PR.
  • Track 3: Working Residency: Includes a 2-week workspace, accommodation, administrative support, PR, and the possibility to organize a public event.
  • Track 4: Co-produced Premiere for a Young Maker: Includes co-production support salary (approx. 1 month), 5-week residency (split 1 week + 4 weeks), performance venue (4 shows), technical/administrative support, accommodation, and PR.

Application Fee & Program Costs:

  • Application Fee: Free to apply.
  • Artist Responsibility: Artists are required to secure their own remaining funding to fully realize the project.

Application Requirements:

  • System Warning: The online application form DOES NOT save your answers. You MUST draft your answers in a word processor first and paste them into the form when ready.
  • One work/project per form (though you may select multiple tracks for the same project). If submitting multiple distinct projects, fill out a separate form for each.
