Title & Description
Emerging Curators Platform 2026 – Materials and Materiality
The Emerging Curators Platform (ECP) invites applications for its 2026 programme, “Materials and Materiality,” focusing on research, experimentation, and hands-on learning in contemporary
curatorial practice. Participants will explore the relationship between the materiality of artworks and exhibition content, considering how material serves as a carrier of meaning—politically, poetically, and historically.
Throughout the six-month programme, emerging curators will experiment with exhibition formats, develop a personally articulated
curatorial position, and gain practical experience in exhibition-making. The programme encourages dialogue with artists and cultural professionals and provides a platform to realise independent curatorial projects, culminating in public exhibitions hosted in the SODAS 2123 project space.
