Short Description
The Experimance Festival 2026 is seeking artistic contributions in the field of sound art. Applications are welcome from both solo artists and groups.
SOUND ART IN PUBLIC SPACE
Artists/groups working with sound installations and sound objects.
The artwork will be presented outdoors at Kulturgut Ost. Please take into account weather conditions and protection against theft. Visual artworks involving projections/mapping cannot be considered.
LARGE-SCALE SOUND INSTALLATION / SPACE INSTRUMENT / OBJECT & PERFORMANCE
One floor of Kulturgut Ost will host a large-scale installation or a custom-built instrument.
- The installation should be accessible during the festival’s opening hours.
- In addition, there should be recurring performances throughout the festival with the installation and/or exhibited objects (approx. 6–8 performances or demonstrations).
2. CONCERT & PERFORMANCE
Artists and groups performing in the field of sound art. The focus is on self-built instruments and unconventional sound sources.
Please note: Jazz submissions cannot be considered.
3. WORKSHOP & LECTURE
Interactive workshops or educational talks on sound art and experimental music.
4. LIVE-SET
Experimental electronic music and live performances for the club night.
Please note: DJ sets cannot be considered.

Program Benefits & Awards
- Artists will receive financial compensation in the form of fees. The exact amounts can only be announced next year.
- Travel and transport costs can be reimbursed up to 150€.
- Accommodation will be provided by the festival.
