Organizer Information:

Since the late 1980s, an artist-in-residence program has operated in the former bathhouse of the Kurhaus Tarasp (now Scuol Palace) in the Lower Engadine region of the Swiss Alps. The Fundaziun Nairs offers optimal conditions for contemplation, ideation, and production without the pressure to produce completed works.

Title & Description:

Applications opens for the Fundaziun Nairs 2027 Residencies.

Each year, a jury selects around 30 to 40 artists from Switzerland and abroad for residencies lasting several months. The program strongly focuses on the exchange between different artistic disciplines. Up to nine artists stay at the foundation at a time, cooking and eating together in the evenings to foster community. Artists also participate in the monthly “Gir d’AiR” (artist-in-residence tour), where they open their studios to allow the public to engage with their creative processes.
