Galleri CC is a prominent artist-run gallery located in Malmö, Sweden. The gallery space features distinct architectural environments, including a bright white room with large street-facing windows, a unique tiled room (formerly a bakery), and a black-painted basement, offering a dynamic setting for contemporary art exhibitions.

Applications are now open for Galleri CC’s Annual Open Call 2026.

The gallery invites professional artists, artist duos, and collectives to participate in a collaborative group exhibition scheduled for late autumn 2026. A maximum of 3 artists or groups will be selected to showcase their work in this four-week exhibition. The open call embraces all artistic media and encourages practitioners to submit recent, available works created within the last three years.

Eligibility:

  • Who: Professional artists, artist duos, or collectives. (Note: Current students are not eligible).
  • Geography: Applicants must be based in the Nordic and Baltic regions (Iceland, Norway, the Faroe Islands, Denmark, Sweden, Åland, Finland, Greenland, Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia).

Program Benefits & Awards:

  • Exhibition: A one-month group exhibition at Galleri CC in Malmö.
  • Artist Fee: Payment of an honorarium/artist fee in accordance with the current Swedish KRO (The Artists National Organisation) MU-agreement.
  • Promotion: Comprehensive marketing and promotion of the exhibition, including posters, flyers, and social media campaigns.

Program Costs:

  • Logistics: Artists are fully responsible for the transport and shipping of their artworks to and from the gallery.
  • Travel: Artists are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses if they choose to attend.

Application Requirements:

Applicants must submit a single PDF (max 10 MB, strictly named YourName_OpenCall2026) containing:

  1. Work Samples: Documentation of up to 3 available works from the past 3 years (max 3 photos per work, or 3-minute links for time-based media). Include title, year, material, dimensions, and a short description.
  2. Artist Statement: Max 2,000 characters.
  3. CV: Max 1 page with contact details.(Applications can be submitted in English or Swedish).
