GHOSTMACHINE Gallery. An independent collective art space in Chinatown, NYC, that operates outside the traditional commercial gallery system to empower artists and prioritize their direct voices. Guest curated by Dominika Tylcz (Curatorial Associate in the Department of Painting and Sculpture, The Museum of Modern Art, New York).

Applications are open for the GHOSTMACHINE Gallery Annual Open Call 2026.
This open call invites artists to participate in a two- or three-person exhibition in the gallery's storefront location in New York this summer. Up to 10 applicants will be offered a studio visit with the guest curator, out of which two or three artists will be selected for the final exhibition.

Multidisciplinary (Open to artists working in any media).
Eligibility:
- Who: Open to individual artists and collectives of all career levels.
- Artwork Age: Submitted work MUST have been made within the last 5 years.
- Geographic Flexibility: Applications from outside New York are welcome, but artists must manage strict shipping logistics (see below).
- Installation: Artists are expected to assist with installation and de-installation. (Note: The gallery will manage these processes for works with simple setup requirements, like paintings and small artworks).
Program Benefits & Awards:
- Exhibition: A two- or three-person show in Chinatown, New York City (July 31 – August 29, 2026).
- Curatorial Feedback: Up to 10 finalists will receive studio visits with MoMA curator Dominika Tylcz.
- Future Opportunities: All applications will be kept on file for consideration in future group exhibitions, art fairs, and off-site projects.
Application Fee & Program Costs:
- Application Fee: $25 USD.
- Shipping: Artists are strictly responsible for all costs and logistics of shipping their work to the gallery, and for return shipping if the artwork does not sell.

- Required Documents:
- Bio (Maximum 250 words).
- Artist Statement (Maximum 250 words).
- 5 Images (Maximum file size of 1MB each).
- Description of submitted work (must include title, year, media, and dimensions).
