Organizer Information:

GlogauAIR is a Berlin-based non-profit organization founded in 2006. While they host a physical residency, their On-line Program was created to allow international exchange and professional support for artists regardless of their physical location.

Title & Description:

The GlogauAIR On-line Residency is a 3-month remote program designed for artists to continue working in their existing settings while receiving intensive curatorial support. The program focuses on professional development, offering weekly individual mentoring, group meetings, and workshops aimed at expanding the artist’s creative experience and professional horizons.

Eligibility:

  • Who: Artists from any part of the world.
  • Language: Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • Availability: Applicants must be available for at least two hours per week for scheduled activities (typically Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays).

  • Curatorial Support: Weekly individual video or phone calls with an international curator to provide guidance and feedback.
  • Professional Workshops: Access to sessions on "Art Marketing Tools," "Portfolio/CV Development," and "Improving Social Media Presence."

Application Fee & Program Costs:

  • Application Fee: Free to apply.
  • Program Fee: €300 / month (Total €900 for the 3-month term).
  • (Note: Fees can be paid in three installments. GlogauAIR can provide a non-binding letter of invitation to help artists apply for external grants in their home countries).

Application Requirements:

A comprehensive Project Description is the most critical part of the application. The jury evaluates submissions based on artistic quality, originality, suitability to remote resources, and the artist's vision.
