The Guttenberg Arts Space and Time Residency provides multidisciplinary artists with the opportunity to create and grow in a professionally equipped workspace. Artists receive three months of studio access, financial support, and the chance to engage with the local community. The residency culminates in a public exhibition, an artist talk, and a workshop.

Eligibility:
- Age: Applicants must be 23 years or older.
- Educational Requirement: Not currently enrolled in any undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Diversity: The residency is open to artists of diverse cultural, sexual, and ethnic backgrounds. It does not discriminate based on age, gender, ethnicity, sexuality, or ability/disability.

- Application Steps:

Submission Requirements:
- Statement of Intent / Project Proposal (500 words)
- Describe your plans and objectives for the residency.
- Artist Statement (500 words)
- Explain your artistic vision and process as related to the work samples submitted.
- Workshop Proposal (250 words)
- Outline a proposed workshop to be given during the residency.
- Artist CV
- A detailed résumé of your artistic career, including exhibitions, residencies, awards, etc.
- Work Samples
- 10 Images of your work (up to 5MB each)
- List of work with title, materials, dimensions, and date.
Selection Process:
- Applications are reviewed by a blind jury of art professionals.
- Artists are selected based on the merit of their work, vision, and commitment to utilizing the residency resources.
- Panelists’ decisions are confidential, and there is no individual feedback.
- Note: International applicants are welcome but must secure their own housing.
Program Benefits & Awards:
- Studio Access: 3 months of shared studio space (24/7 access).
- Stipend: $600 (Supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation).
- Public Exposure: Public artist talk or workshop, group show, and open studio event.
- Publicity: Inclusion in print and online media coverage.
- Final Exhibition: A group exhibition at the end of the residency.
Artist Participation Expectations:
- Studio Commitment: Artists must commit to an average of 20 hours per week in the studio.
- Community Engagement: Participation in a group exhibition, an artist talk, and a free, public workshop.
- Residency Focus: Artists are not allowed to participate in other residencies or degree programs during the Guttenberg Arts residency.
