Short Description
The “IN PROCESS – BETWIXT AND BETWEEN” residency, organized by HAUT in collaboration with Phyllis Akinyi (Diasporic Dimensions), is a 2-week artistic research residency in Copenhagen, Denmark (June 2–14, 2025). It supports cross-disciplinary and anti-disciplinary artists, particularly those who navigate “in-between” identities (e.g., Third Culture Kids, QTBIPOC, self-taught artists). The program provides workspace, financial support (up to 18,000 DKK per artist), accommodation, and travel subsidies. Residents are expected to explore new ideas, open their process to an audience, and engage in feedback.
Residency Slots: Up to 5 artists per residency.
Residency Duration: 2 weeks.
Residency Period: June 2–14, 2025.

Financial Support:
Artist Fee: 16,500 DKK per artist (11 working days).
Additional Flat Fee: 1,500 DKK per artist (for preparation, meetings, and evaluation).
Material Budget: Up to 4,500 DKK.
Travel Costs Covered:
Up to 1,500 DKK per person (national travel).
Up to 3,000 DKK per person (international travel).
Preference for train/bus travel over flights.
Obligations for Residents:
Work in a cross-disciplinary way.
Open workspace to an audience and receive feedback.
Participate in evaluation of the residency format.
Eligibility
Open to artists, researchers, curators, DJs, chefs, illustrators, etc.
No formal art school background required.
Open to national and international applicants.
