The Hochschule für Gestaltung (HfG) Offenbach is a leading German art and design university known for interdisciplinary research, design innovation, and fostering contemporary art practices. The residency is supported by the Crespo Foundation, Aventis Foundation, and Land Hessen (Ministry of Science and Art), and hosted at the Höchster Porzellan-Manufaktur (HPM), Germany’s second oldest porcelain manufactory (founded 1746).

HPM Residency Program 5.0 – Exploring Porcelain
This four-month residency program offers international artists and designers an opportunity to research, experiment, and develop innovative artistic and design concepts using porcelain and ceramics. Participants gain access to HPM’s production facilities, workshops, and traditional techniques combined with modern digital processes such as ceramic 3D printing and robotics. The residency promotes the advancement of porcelain design, encourages interdisciplinary experimentation, and supports young artists and designers in deepening their artistic skills. Scholars also engage with students, teachers, and the public through workshops, lectures, exhibitions, and documentation of their projects.
