Organizer Information:

Locoto is a space dedicated to creating contexts for contemporary creation. Located in a house on the margins of Xochimilco—a liminal threshold between the megalopolis and the water—the residency prioritizes the process of observing, exploring, and listening over accelerated production.

Applications are open for the Inaugural Locoto Artist Residency.

Guided by the concept of the "chinampa as a method," this four-week immersion invites four artists to engage in an active dialogue with the territory. It is designed for artists who are open to letting their projects form in layers, over time, through direct contact with the environment and its communities, without creative limits or disciplinary boundaries.
