Joya: AiR (Joya: arte + ecología / Artist in Residence) is an off-grid, climate-positive interdisciplinary residency founded in 2006 by Simon and Donna Beckmann. Located in the Parque Natural Sierra María–Los Vélez, Almería, Spain, it integrates art, ecology, and sustainable living practices. Interdisciplinary Artist Residency at Joya: AiR 2026
This residency offers 1–2 week placements (longer stays available) for artists, writers, and researchers to develop projects in an off-grid, nature-integrated setting. Residents have access to private studios, accommodation, meals, and 20 hectares of surrounding land. The program encourages creative experimentation, dialogue with other artists, and sustainable, climate-positive approaches to art-making. Application Fee
