Organized by the Unclassified Actions Non Profit Organisation, this residency is led by tutors Dimitra Nikolopoulou (National Theatre of Greece) and Eliza Soroga (V&A Museum, EMST).
Title & Description:
Applications are open for "The Body as Site, the Site as Body," a four-day international site-specific performance residency and artistic research intensive.
Taking place in the protected Natura 2000 landscape of Lake Kaiafas in the Peloponnese, the program offers an immersive environment for exploring performance and live art. Participants will cultivate spatial methodologies (walking meditations, butoh, somatic actions, field research) in dialogue with the lake, pine forest, sand dunes, and ancient thermal springs. The program culminates in a final presentation of works developed during the residency.

Eligibility:
- Who: Artists, performers, students, researchers, and practitioners from diverse artistic backgrounds.
- Age/Academic Requirements: No age restrictions or specific academic requirements.
- Language: The working language of the residency is English.
- Selection: Limited to an intimate group of 10–20 participants.
Program Benefits & Awards:
- Curriculum: 70% methodological tools for live art creation, 20% tutorials/feedback, and 10% collective reflection.
- Meals & Wellness: The participation fee includes one breakfast and one main meal daily (with vegan options), one hydrotherapy session at the Kaiafas Thermal Baths, and access to the outdoor heated swimming pool for one day.

Application Fee & Program Costs:

- Participation Fee (International): €530 + VAT (Early Bird: €500 + VAT by April 15).
- Participation Fee (Domestic/Greece): €400 + VAT (Early Bird: €370 + VAT by April 30).
- Accommodation Costs: Special discounted rates at the Olympia Hotel (located on a small island within Lake Kaiafas) range from €22 to €43 per day, plus a €2 daily climate tax.
