Short Description
Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH, a state-owned company that supports and promotes culture in Berlin, is seeking an experienced editorial professional to support Berlin Art Week 2025. This role is integral to managing the communication and content production for the event—a major platform showcasing Berlin’s contemporary art scene through exhibitions, events, and special projects.
Position Type: Fixed-term, part-time (19.7 hours per week)
Contract Duration: From June 16, 2025 until September 18, 2025
Location: Berlin-Mitte, at a beautiful workplace with excellent transport links
Start Date: June 16, 2025
Responsibilities:
Produce editorial content for both print and online media
Write and edit texts, including managing a bilingual (German/English) online journal
Coordinate translations and ensure high-quality proofreading of German texts
Update and maintain editorial and production plans
Facilitate communication and coordination among team members and external partners (e.g., service providers, partners)
Support administrative tasks and procurement processes as needed
Eligibility:
Minimum of 4 years of subject-specific experience (degree or equivalent training in media, communication, publishing, or journalism)
Editorial experience within a publishing or digital media environment
Proficient in using content management systems (e.g., WordPress)
In-depth knowledge of Berlin’s art and cultural landscape
Excellent written and spoken German; good English skills
Structured, careful, and detail-oriented work style
