Eligibility:
- Professional visual artists, curators, and groups (as GbR)
- Residents of Berlin with their primary residence maintained during the application and grant period
- Non-EU citizens must not have restrictions on self-employment
- Not eligible: students, professors, stage/set designers, directors, screenwriters, and cinematographers
Categories:
Contemporary visual arts, including drawing, sculpture, film/video art, installation, sound art, photography, painting, digital/media arts, performance, and urban/public space art.
Theme: Open-ended, focusing on individual artistic/curatorial research and development.

- Submit an online application with:
- Short project description (max 1,900 characters)
- Artistic CV and portfolio (max 10 A4 pages, up to 10 MB)
- Proof of identity and Berlin residency
- GbR contract or declaration for group applications
Selection Process:
- Applications reviewed by a jury for eligibility and project quality
- Eligible applications enter a digital lottery
- Results announced via email in July 2025
