Organizer Information

Kunst.Ort.Rumpenheim e.V. is a German nonprofit association dedicated to promoting contemporary art and creating public visibility for artists. Since its inaugural event in 2024, the organization has been organizing the Kunsttage Rumpenheim, providing exhibition opportunities in the historic Rumpenheimer Schlosspark and supporting artistic experimentation, temporary installations, and site-specific works.

KUNST.PARK RUMPENHEIM 2026 – Public Art Exhibition & Awards

KUNST.PARK RUMPENHEIM 2026 offers exhibition opportunities and awards to artists with innovative ideas, concepts, and talent. Participants will present temporary interventions, Land Art, Sculpture, and ephemeral works in the scenic Rumpenheimer Schlosspark. Three prizes will be awarded to selected artists, providing recognition, financial support, and public exposure.

Artists are expected to engage with the park’s historic environment, create safe, visually compelling works, and participate in public dialogue during the exhibition. This initiative encourages professional growth, artistic experimentation, and community engagement.

Eligibility

  • Open to artists residing in Germany
  • Applicants may be emerging or established artists
  • Participants must present works specifically created for a temporary exhibition in the Rumpenheimer Schlosspark
  • Works must comply with park conservation and natural monument protection regulations
  • Both traditional and experimental approaches are welcome

  • 1st Prize: €2,000 (sponsored by Dr. H. Mühl, Hanau)
  • 2nd Prize: €1,000 (sponsored by Kunst.Ort.Rumpenheim e.V.)
  • 3rd Prize: €500 (sponsored by Kunst.Ort.Rumpenheim e.V.)
  • Public visibility during the Kunsttage Rumpenheim 2026 (Sept 18–20, 12–18h)

  1. Completed application form (available online)
  2. Short biography / CV (max. 1 page)
  3. Written project description (max. 1 page)
  4. Visual documentation (photos or photomontages of the proposed work)
  5. Layout plan indicating possible installation locations

Important:

  • Submissions must be combined into a single PDF titled LastName_FirstName_Title.pdf
  • KI-generated images are not accepted
  • No external website links should be included

Additional Details

  • Works must be safe, standsicher, and respect conservation rules (trees, shrubs, historic monuments)
  • Use of nails, wire, or clamps on living vegetation is prohibited; attachments to trees must use protective measures
  • Material and travel costs are not reimbursed
  • Jury selection occurs in two stages: selection for exhibition and prize determination
  • Attendance at the exhibition is highly encouraged for networking and award eligibility
