Organizer Information
The Kunstfonds Foundation (Stiftung Kunstfonds) is a leading institution in Germany dedicated to promoting contemporary visual arts and safeguarding artistic heritage. Funded primarily by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media (BKM) through the German Bundestag, the foundation provides structural stability for artistic careers, publications, and the preservation of artists' lifeworks.
Title & Description
KUNSTFONDS_Werkverzeichnung (List of Works) 2026.
This specialized cultural program provides grants to fund the comprehensive digital documentation and cataloging of lifetime oeuvres of visual artists. Recognizing that artworks serve as visual historical archives, this grant supports archiving projects of supra-regional importance and deep artistic relevance. Cataloging is performed by a dedicated editor using a specialized database program provided by the Kunstfonds Foundation, with excerpts ultimately published on the foundation's public platform to bolster global research and visibility.
