La Ira de Dios facilitates artistic exchange and develops contemporary art practice through residencies, collaborations with other institutions, and public programs. The residency is located in the center of Buenos Aires in a historic building that has been repurposed to house art projects, studios, and exhibition areas.

Applications are open for the La Ira de Dios Residency Programs.

We provide residents with a platform to develop their projects and engage with the Buenos Aires art scene. Our aim is to create a collaborative and experimental environment where artists and researchers share an intensive period of work. We emphasize the process, viewing the residency as a research opportunity where new paths of work are initiated. Throughout the program, we organize public presentations and open studio events, designing an agenda of activities for each participant centered around their practice, research, and proposed project.

Eligibility:

  • Who: National and international artists and researchers from different backgrounds, contexts, and stages of their careers.

Program Benefits & Awards:

  • Workspace & Tools: Each resident has a private studio. Access is provided to power and general tools, photographic tools, monitors, beamers, and a sewing machine.
  • Accommodation: Participants stay in private rooms in houses near the working space.
  • Financial Support: La Ira de Dios offers scholarships to all participating artists from Argentina and has agreements with various institutions for international scholarships. We also assist artists in the application process for grants and scholarships.
  • Duration: Flexible program duration ranging from 1 to 6 months.
