Public Programs Specialist Opportunity at Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).
This position is dedicated to the development and implementation of high-impact public initiatives that reflect LACMA’s permanent collection and special exhibitions. The specialist will craft a diverse range of activities, including Artist Talk sessions, Symposium events, and Workshop series, ensuring all content aligns with the museum’s strategic priorities.
The Role Overview: This is a Regular Part-Time, two-year term Job. The position reports directly to the Director of Adult Public Programs. The Salary is set at an hourly rate of $20.46.
Position & Tasks:
- Develop and implement Public Presentation initiatives, including lectures, performances, and artist conversations.
- Manage Project timelines, Production Budget tracking, and administrative logistics for on-site and virtual events.
- Negotiate contracts with artists, experts, and external vendors to secure talent and assets.Collaborate with the Marketing team to generate website content, blog posts, and public announcements.
- Conduct Research-based evaluation to assess program effectiveness using quantitative and qualitative data.

Eligibility
- Open to national and international candidates authorized to work in the United States.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Art History, Art Education, Museum Studies, or a related field.
